St. John Chrysostom Council-Leadership in Action
The Student Council of St. John Chrysostom School was established in 1974. The purpose of the student council is to provide opportunities and training for student involvement in leadership activities. Our students not only learn leadership involvement, but, are taught citizenship, self-esteem and decision-making. Our group consists of officers elected by the student body. Class representatives are elected by their classmates. Students from grades 4-8 volunteer to help in many school activities. Interested students, who want to run for a student body office, are given special leadership training classes each year by our teacher-moderator.
