At the beginning of the school year each family is provided with the Parent/Student Handbook/Calendar. This document defines the roles and expectations for those that make up the school community. Formal reporting of student progress takes place six times a year. Report cards are sent home at the end of each trimester. Progress reports are sent home midway through each trimester. Parents and teachers discuss student progress, the results of the STAR tests and student growth regarding the student learning expectation during conferences, phone calls, emails and written notes. The parents can also monitor their child’s progress on a daily basis through SchoolSpeak. This program provides a more complete picture of how the child is doing in class.
The honor roll, the principal’s list, student of the month, art shows, science fairs, the sports program and Christian service opportunities all recognize student achievements.
