Volunteer Opportunities

  • Aid in the computer labs
  • Donate office supplies or products for food sales for service hour credit
  • Room parent works with teacher, calls parents as needed to help with events or classroom support
  • Office assistant on Wednesdays and Thursday when the family news envelope goes out and returns
  • Typing of forms, as needed. Filing, organizing supplies, calling parents, etc
  • Yard duty – before school, after school, recess and lunch
  • Help with hot lunch service
  • Participation in fund-raisers as organizer and/or worker
  • Assist with custodial work, cleaning, trash removal, painting, other labor
  • Gardening, weeding, watering
  • Translator: Help translate English information on newsletters and notices into Spanish
  • Assist in the health room with health screenings and/or daily attendance
  • Classroom volunteer in the primary grades and developmental kindergarten
  • Assist in the library or book fair
  • Help with IT troubleshooting, computer repair and maintenance
  • Work on marketing committee, hospitality committee, booster club, fund raising committees, other committees and support groups as needed for parent support
  • Volunteers with media expertise to help in computer lab or donate new computers

We request many items on a regular basis. Listed below are some of the major ones. Service hours are given (dollar-for-dollar credit for any goods donated).

  • Food items for “snack bar” e.g. granola bars, juice drinks

For the garden outside our science building:

  • Top soil

  • Flowers for planting
