New family registrations take place this month for the following school year: 2019-2020. Enroll early to grab a testing date and time to tour the school. Please call the school at 310.677.5868 or email info@stjohninglewood.org to schedule and an appropriate time.

Grandparent’s Day

Monday of Catholic Schools Week kicks off with Mass for Grandparent’s Day. All grandparents or a special someone are invited to Mass, then a class presentation. Refreshments and a snack are provided after the classroom visits. Come and join your grandchildren this day.

Open House will take place on January 27th after the 8:30am Mass at the church. A pancake breakfast hosted by the room parents will follow as well. Come and see one of the hidden secrets of Inglewood: St. John Chrysostom School.

8th grade students will be taking their annual cap and gown photos on January 22nd. These 8th graders are in full swing with their high school applications presently to the best private schools in our local area.

Our 8th Graders went to Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre for their 8th grade retreat. It was a day run by the Net Missionaries from Minnesota. Science Camp Return

Science Camp Return

Our 7th and 8th graders returned from Science Camp with stories of nature, learning and camp. As we did two years ago, we visited Calvin Crest Conferences, a location in the Yosemite National Forest. The trip was made possible by generous donations from the Creech Family. 

Washington, D.C. for Easter Break

8th graders will venture to Washington, D.C. for their annual excursion. They will review history by visiting sites and seeing first-hand documents and locations that shaped our history. St. John is proud to be able to offer these educational opportunities for our students. 

Science Camp in Sequoia National Forest

Science Camp in Sequoia National Forest

Our 6th and 7th graders were in the Sequoia National Forest for 4 days for an immersive science camp. Students loved the outdoors, animals and cold. It was a great experience for both students and teachers. Next year, back to Yosemite for another Science Camp, but this time in October.
