Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to St. John Chrysostom Catholic Elementary School, Inglewood, CA.

We invite you to explore this site so that you can begin to experience the excitement of our learning environment and Cougar spirit. We serve transitional Kindergarten (age 4) through 8th grade, and we partner in many projects with St. Mary’s Academy, the Catholic Girls’ High School adjacent to us. Many of our graduates go on to St. Mary’s and other fine Catholic High Schools like Loyola, Bosco Tech, Marymount, Notre Dame Academy, Serra, Verbum Dei, and St. Bernards where they continue the tradition of excellence in academics, sports, leadership, and service begun here at St. John’s.

Although St. John’s is a parochial school, children of all faiths and ethnic and cultural communities are welcome here. We emphasize academics, structure, self discipline, and Christian Service and worship. Science, art, music, and P.E. are important elements of the curriculum.

Recently our 8th graders have made a trip to Washington, D.C., and our 6th graders will be visiting San Francisco this year. This year’s 8th graders are going to New York City.
